Hi, welcome!

I'm Sophia, a yoga teacher based in Oakland, California. I teach Power Vinyasa in studio and share both short and long-form classes online so you can practice in whatever way fits your day.

My practice began in college, where I quickly fell in love with the calm and clarity I felt after class. After more than 10 years of personal practice, I began teaching in 2025 to help others build strength, mobility, and resilience while feeling more connected to themselves through movement.

My goal is to offer classes that feel strong and supportive, whether you're practicing in studio or at home.

How I Teach

Yoga is a personal practice. I believe it helps us slow down, be present, and reconnect with ourselves while building strength, mobility, and resilience.

I teach yoga classes that connect breath with movement. Beyond the physical practice, yoga offers a safe space to explore, stay curious, and try hard things. We build that practice on the mat and carry it with us off the mat.

My cues are always invitations, not rules. I encourage students to move at their own pace, listen to their bodies, and practice in the way that best supports them.

Beyond the Mat

Freediving is another meditative practice for me, rooted in breath, presence, and deep listening to the body.

I love pet sitting and sharing my space with furry visitors. Keep an eye out for the occasional guest appearance!
